John 14:17 "[Even] the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not,neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you."
Every responsible parent knows that it is their obligation to equip their children with the survival skills needed to excel in a highly competitive world, our heavenly Father is not any different. The Father made a promise concerning the outpouring of His Spirit in today's Scripture, a promise which was reiterated by our Lord Jesus in John 14:17. At the very root of that promise was a desire to equip the Church with the capacity to rise above the dynamics of a highly corruptible world.The Holy Spirit is the Father's gift to the Church to give us an incomparable degree of superiority in our spheres of influence. He is the Spirit of wisdom and uncommon insights, the Spirit of excellence for distinction, and the Spirit of boldness in daring circumstances. The dimension of wisdom and unction spoken of by Jesus in Luke 21:15 can only be made manifest by the empowerment of the Spirit of God. Through the Spirit of God, we express and manifest a mouth and wisdom that the adversary cannot gainsay. The Holy Spirit is our competitive advantage.We have help and matchless advantage in the Holy Spirit.
As a believer, you are licensed to carry the Spirit of God within you, and manifest His gifted advantage in every area of human endeavour. You only have to walk in the consciousness of the gift you have received, and you will rise above the corruption of this world. You possess the God-dimension of wisdom,the Daniel-order of excellence, capacity for peace in troubled waters, and grace to succeed where others have failed. The Spirit of God is our advantage in the Church; He is your ability to walk in the God-kind of life (Zoe) as Jesus walked, living in perpetual dominion over everything that God has made. You have the prerogative to engage Him in all spheres of life. You are more than a conqueror because the Greater One dwells in you. Make sure to acknowledge this priceless gift of the Spirit in you. You are not alone; you are not without help.The Helper, the Standby, the Comforter, the Counsellor, the Strengthener, the Advocate,the Intercessor, the Teacher,the Holy Spirit lives in you.Hallelujah!
