Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu is a highly accomplished and respected individual who has dedicated her life to public service. She currently serves as the First Lady of Lagos State, a position she has held since 2019. She's happily married to the Lagos state Governor BABAJIDE Sanwo-Olu and they are Blessed with FOUR CHILDREN, Ibijoke is a devout Christian and a proud Nigerian who has made significant contributions to the healthcare sector as an administrator and medical practitioner.
Born in Lagos on January 8, 1967, Ibijoke obtained a Bachelor of Medicine, and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S) degree from the prestigious University of Lagos, Akoka. She also holds a Post postgraduate diploma in Hospital and Health Management (PGDHM), a Diploma in Anesthesia (DA), a Master of Public Health (MPH), and a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
Before becoming the First Lady, Ibijoke worked for the Lagos State Government for 25 years, where she rose through the ranks to become the Chief Medical Director and Chief Executive Officer of Harvey Road Comprehensive Health Centre, Yaba, and later General Hospital, Somolu. Her dedication, hard work, and commitment to excellence have earned her a well-deserved reputation as a skilled and compassionate healthcare administrator.
As Christians, we are called by God to pray for our leaders, both present and future.
