Evangelist Isaac Omolehin, fondly called Baba Omolehin, is the Founder of The Word Commission International and The Word Assembly Churches in Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria. He is one of Nigeria’s most seasoned evangelists, a father in the faith, and a voice of revival in the body of Christ. With a ministry that spans decades and reaches all six continents, Evangelist Omolehin has remained a relentless soul-winner, a radio preacher, and a father to both biological and spiritual children across the globe.

Early Life and Background

Born on February 24, 1951, in Iluke Town, Kabba Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State, Reverend Isaac Omolehin grew up in a deeply rooted Christian family. His journey into ministry was marked by a radical encounter with Jesus Christ, which later birthed a deep burden for lost souls and unreached regions.

Educational Background

Evangelist Omolehin pursued higher education at Rivers State University (formerly Rivers State University of Science and Technology), where he earned a degree in Animal Science. His training in biological and agricultural sciences reflects the discipline, structure, and understanding he brings into ministry leadership and pastoral care.

Miraculous Recovery: A Childhood Miracle that Defied the Odds

In a remarkable turn of events, a young Omolehin defied the predictions of a mysterious illness that had his mother seeking the help of a prophet. Despite being just a primary school pupil, Omolehin showed unwavering faith and determination, rejecting the recommended ritual bath in a river. Instead, he relied on his inner strength, declaring, "I would recover." And in a stunning display of faith and resilience, he miraculously recovered before his mother returned with the ritual items.

The Power of Inner Strength: Omolehin's Miraculous Recovery

When a mysterious illness struck Omolehin in his childhood, his mother turned to a prophet for help. However, the young boy refused to undergo the recommended ritual bath, instead relying on his own inner strength to overcome the illness. With unshakeable confidence, he declared, "I would recover." And in a remarkable display of faith, he miraculously recovered, leaving everyone amazed.

Evangelist Omolehin: From Humble Beginnings to a Life of Divine Favor

Nearly 50 years ago, Evangelist Isaac Omolehin arrived in Ilorin with no clear direction, no shelter, and nowhere to lay his head. With nothing to his name, he took up the humble job of a farmhand for a local family. To survive, he also helped fry and sell puff-puff on the streets—a season of life marked by struggle, yet filled with divine purpose.

It was during this challenging period that he met the love of his life—then a student at the University of Ibadan, Oyo State. Their relationship faced sharp criticism and social ridicule. Many questioned her decision, mocking her for choosing a man with no visible future.

“People told her she hadn’t even found a human being to marry,” Omolehin recalled. “They asked her, ‘When will he ever make it in life?’”

But she stood firm. Against all odds, she remained faithful. Today, those same critics are witnesses to the abundant blessings and undeniable favor that now mark their lives.

Early Ministry and Trials of Faith

The early years of Omolehin’s ministry were filled with intense financial hardship - but never a shortage of spiritual anointing.

He recounted a life-changing encounter with a disciple of Apostle Joseph Ayodele Babalola, who gave him a prophetic warning: never to fight for himself, because God would always fight his battles.

“He told me, ‘Don’t defend yourself. God will defend you,’” Omolehin shared. “And over the years, I’ve seen that those who rose against me never ended well. I am not an ordinary person. God kept me through dangers that should have ended my life.”

Despite many near-death experiences and seemingly insurmountable trials, Omolehin emerged victorious. “What I lacked then, I no longer lack today. And because of what God brought me through, I can never turn back. Every hardship was only a test of faith.

Ministry Journey: Founder of Word Assembly Ministries

In obedience to God’s calling,  Reverend Omolehin founded Word Assembly Ministries, headquartered in Ilorin, Kwara State. What began as a local outreach has become a multi-branch revival hub, with locations across Kwara including:

  • Offa Garage (Headquarters)
  • Asa Dam
  • Adewole
  • Ganmo
  • Tanke
  • Kilanko

The ministry is marked by intense prayer, evangelism, Bible teaching, and supernatural demonstrations of God’s power.

Global Evangelism and Media Reach

Reverend Omolehin’s voice echoes daily through radio broadcasts on two major stations, reaching millions of listeners across Nigeria and beyond. His messages are bold, faith-stirring, and prophetic—calling people to repentance, healing, and divine purpose.

He has preached the Gospel on all six continents, taking the message of Christ from Nigeria to Asia, Europe, the Americas, Australia, and beyond. His passion for lost souls has remained unwavering through the decades.

120-Day Annual Crusade

Every year from January to April, Evangelist Omolehin organizes a 120-Day Power Crusade—a season of intense spiritual renewal marked by miracles, salvation, healing, and deliverance. Thousands of believers gather annually to encounter God and receive divine transformation.

Family and Humanitarian Impact

Evangelist Omolehin is married to Dr. (Mrs.) Christie Omolehinsince October 1982, he was ordained in 1985 by Rev. Mike Oye.  a ministry partner and humanitarian leader. Together, they co-founded Hope Orphanage, a loving home that cares for over 70 orphaned and vulnerable children in Ilorin. This orphanage is not just a shelter - It’s a place of hope, discipleship, and spiritual formation.

The couple is blessed with four biological children, all of whom are pastors and missionaries serving across various nations, further extending the ministry legacy.

The wedding of Evangelist Isaac Omolehin and his beloved wife took place at St. Luke’s Anglican Church in Ilorin. Yet, it was far from a grand celebration. Few of her relatives were in attendance - a reflection of the disapproval and disbelief that surrounded their union.

“Many of my wife’s family members refused to attend,” Omolehin recalled. “They simply couldn’t understand why she would choose someone like me.”

The skepticism didn't end there. When Omolehin introduced her to his father, the encounter was telling. The old man handed her ₦2 as a symbolic gesture—but gave his own son nothing. It was a moment that underscored just how little was expected of him at the time.

Yet today, their love story stands as a testament to faith, endurance, and the extraordinary power of God to transform humble beginnings into generational blessings.
