Are you in contention and struggle over issues of lifestyle that you desire to leave, yet have continued to be part of you? Have you gotten to a point where you encourage yourself with the word of Paul the Apostle that what you wish you do, you do them not, but that which you do not want to do, you do; to the extent you say His grace is sufficient for you? How frustrated are you over that issue right now?
I have news for you this morning, and the news is that you can do all things and refuse to do what you do not want to do. You have the will power and ability to say no to what you do not want to do, and yes to what you wish to do. The gap between who you are now and who you intend to be is in your ability to activate the power in you. I have not come to motivate you like the motivational speakers, but I have come to show you a scripture that I am using right now to confront my matters and I know you can use it as well, though you have known it before, God will open your eyes to it with new understanding today.
1 Cor. 10:13 ‘No test or temptation that comes your way is beyond the course of what others have had to face. All you need to remember is that God will never let you down; he’ll never let you be pushed past your limit; he’ll always be there to help you come through it.’ MSG.
Each time you are faced with the seemingly stronger matter, future or endeavour; ask yourself if anyone on earth has ever been faced with this very kind of case. I tell you the answer is YES. Then you ask; has there been anyone who has gone past it before? The truth is that many indeed had gone past it as over comers. If anyone has overpowered it before, then you CAN. You need to tell yourself either of: ‘I CAN DO IT’ for the positive or ‘I DONT HAVE TO DO THIS’ for the negative. Reaffirm the statement each time your mind run through the issue, or you are confronted with it, and in no time you see your power activated to overcome.
The fact that the matter is confronting you is a proof that God already know you can overpower it.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, I recieve new grace to do all things and overcome all trials, I declare that I can summon all obstacles and will not stain my righteous life in the process in Jesus name, Amen!
