2 Corinthians 7:1 KJV
[1] Having, therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
God wants His Presence to find expression in and through us but for that to happen. We must be good hosts of His Presence. Look at what our opening Scripture tells us, it shows us that
because of the promises that God has made to us, to dwell in us and walk in us, we must cleanse
ourselves from every filthiness of the flesh and spirit, and perfect holiness in the fear of God.
Notice that we are the ones to cleanse ourselves from. every filthiness; we are not to wait for God
to cleanse us. We are the ones to create a conducive environment for God to have full
expression in and through us. Don't be deceived beloved, to think that regardless of what you do
and how you live, God will have full expression in your life. "Be not deceived; God cannot be
mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap" (Galatians 6:7). That kind of
mindset is against the truth of God's Word. There are things that you will refrain your hand from
touching, and your eyes from watching; there are places you will refrain your legs from going, so
you can be a carrier of the glory of God in full and manifest dimensions.
There are rewards laid up for those who will diligently seek the Lord. Hebrews 11:6 tells us that
God is a Reward for those who diligently seek Him. There are awesome and out-of-this-world
promises in the Word for honoring God in our bodies. 2 Corinthians 6:16-17 reveals a
catalog of these promises. They ought to thrill and induce us to honor God in our bodies, for
the Lord delights in the sanctification of our bodies. These promises are God's incentives to thrill
us into separating ourselves from every filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in
the fear of God. If you will be a very good steward of God's temple, keeping it holy for Him, God
will bless you for it; He will bless you with His manifest Presence, and your life will be a clear
reflection of His glory and power. People will see God made manifest through you, and they will
gravitate toward you to enjoy and partake of the glory of your life. Beloved, arise, shine, for
your light has come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you!!! God has winked at the time of
ignorance; it is time to live as children of light that we are in Christ!!!
I acknowledge that my body is the temple of the living God, and in
the Name of Jesus Christ, I declare that I am a good steward of
God's temple. I keep my vessel in all holiness and honor, thereby
making room for the free flow of God in and through my life. Amen.
