Things you must do away with if you want to understand the Bible

 THINGS YOU MUST DO AWAY With IF YOU WANT To UNDERSTAND THE BIBLE

1. Carnality
As a child of God, you must continue to
live your life as saints of God. If you do
not walk in the light of the saving grace of
God, you will struggle to understand the
Bible. The Bible may even become a
closed book to you. Though written with
ink, you now know that the Bible is a
spiritual book. Carnality will veil the truth
of the Bible from you and it will profit you nothing except you repent

 " And I, brethren, could not speak unto
you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal,
even as unto babes in Christ." 1
Corinthians 3:1
If you have become unstable in your walk
with Jesus, you can get restored this very
moment if you will call on Jesus to help
you.
2. Pride
If you are proud, you will struggle to
grasp what the Bible teaches. You will
never be able to accept the truth of the
scripture. God Himself resists the proud.
Thank God for the Ethiopian Eunuch who
met Philip and did not allow his position
to becloud his sense of reasoning. The
man was humble enough to allow “a
nobody” teach him. Today, some
Christians believe their pastor can never
be wrong. They believe only their
religious leader is the custodian of the
truth of the faith. But this isn’t true! We
must be willing to let go of any age-long teaching if it does not conform with
biblical doctrines. We must act like the
Berean Jews. We must agree that only
the word of God has the final say.
Acts 17:11 - These were more noble than
those in Thessalonica, in that they
received the word with all readiness of
mind, and searched the scriptures daily,
whether those things were so.
The Berean Jews would not just tolerate
a teacher or preacher without confirming
from the scriptures whether it was so.
3. Indiscipline
If you do not show seriousness and
eagerness to learn, you will never
understand the Bible. It takes devotion,
determination, and selflessness for a
person to be able to grasp the truth of the Scriptures
