Biography of Dr. Stephen Akintayo - Africa’s Leading Wealth & Real Estate Strategist

Dr. Stephen Akintayo is a Nigerian author, serial entrepreneur, real estate mogul, and digital marketing consultant. He is the founder of Gtext Holdings, a global conglomerate in real estate, agriculture, and digital marketing. His remarkable journey from extreme poverty to becoming one of Africa’s most respected investment coaches is nothing short of inspirational.


Born on January 28, 1986, in Gonge, Maiduguri (Borno State), to Mr. Victor and Mrs. Deborah Akintayo, Stephen grew up in deep poverty. With no electricity and sometimes no food, his early life was marked by adversity. After his father's business failed, young Stephen scavenged to afford lunch, and his mother often borrowed money to pay school fees.

Education and Early Entrepreneurship

Stephen attended Baptist Primary School in Maiduguri and later Government Secondary School in Jebba, Kwara State. He earned his BSc in Microbiology from Olabisi Onabanjo University. While still a student, he organized campus trade fairs and launched his entrepreneurial journey selling eBooks and GNLD supplements.

In 2008, he founded Gilead Balm Group, a bulk SMS platform that served top brands like MTN, PZ Cussons, GTBank, and Chivita. This venture later evolved into Gtext Global, a multimillion-dollar empire spanning real estate, technology, and education.

Building a Legacy Through Impact

Beyond business, Dr. Akintayo is deeply passionate about humanitarian work. In 2008, he founded the Stephen Akintayo Foundation, formerly known as Infinity Foundation, to support vulnerable communities, IDP camps in Maiduguri, and underprivileged families in Dustbin Estate, Ajegunle. The foundation also runs Mercy Orphanage, started in 2015.

In February 2022, he started the shooting of his 3rd show, Big Talk with DSA, a political show aimed at resetting the minds of youths and empowering them with the right knowledge to birth a new nation.


In 2021, he hosted the Global Property Brokers Conference, the largest Brokers' Conference in Africa. It is now renamed to the Global Property Festival with international business moguls such as Grant Cardone, Ryan Serhant, and the number one coach in the world, John C. Maxwell, as co-speakers.


In 2022, he organized the Global Wealth Festival in 3 locations around the world–Nigeria, London, and the United States of America. The first location of the festival was in Dallas, which was held in July 2022; thereby, featuring Grant Cardone as the Keynote speaker. He also hosted the Global Leadership Conference in Dubai, with former President Olusegun Obasanjo as the Keynote speaker.


He has had the privilege of hosting renowned figures such as Robert Kiyosaki, Dr. Brian Tracy, and Dr. Les Brown during the Billionaire Habits Masterclass webinar. This global event was meticulously organized to empower young individuals with the essential habits and mindsets of successful billionaires, guiding them on how to emulate their journeys toward success. Through insightful discussions and practical advice, the webinar aimed to inspire the next generation to aspire for greatness and develop the qualities necessary to achieve their goals.


He’s also the convener of the Believers' Wealth Conference and the Family Finance Conference, which teach the believers of the Gospel of Christ and couples, respectively, how to build legitimate transgenerational wealth for themselves.


His mentorship platform has a wide reach as it caters to both personal and corporate development. Dr Stephen strongly believes young Nigerians with a passion for entrepreneurship can cause a business revolution in Nigeria and the world at large. Personal Life & Recognition

Stephen is married to Bisi Akintayo, widely known as “The Amazon of Mini Importation.” They are blessed with three children: Ephraim, Sapphire, and Divine. He is also an ordained pastor under Living Faith Church Worldwide (Winners Chapel).
