Lauren Ashley Daigle was born on September 9, 1991, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, and raised in Lafayette - a region rich in zydeco, blues, and Cajun musical heritage. From childhood, her home was a “music box,” according to her mother, as she sang constantly.
At age 15, Lauren contracted cytomegalovirus, sidelining her from
school for two years. This unexpected pause became a creative incubator—she
took voice lessons and deepened her devotion to music and faith.
Later, she fast-tracked her education at a charter school, graduated
early, performed mission work in Brazil, and attended LSU, studying
Child and Family Studies while continuing to lead worship.
