How Serving Others Brings True Joy and Fulfillment

A widow you are supporting financially sent you this letter
-
'Thank you for the financial gifts you sent to me From that money I was able to buy 2 local Pigs from which I now have 32 Pigs. From the profits of my Pig business, I bought a grinding machine to increase my income. I am also able to pay other widows to farm on the small land I bought last year with your support. Right now, our widows can pay their children's school fees, and we don't lack food. My children and I, as well as other widows in my community, pray every day for you, and we rejoice that God brought you our way.'

I am sure you would be overjoyed to receive such a letter. When you do good or show acts of kindness, you are SERVING OTHERS, and their rejoicing return to you as JOY.

This is similar to what is recorded about Jesus in Acts 10:38 (NKJV)- “how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.”

Everyone He set free was filled with joy; entire communities were even recorded as being filled with joy and amazement. When Jesus served others by doing good, the people rejoiced, which brought joy to our Father's heaven.

Let's Examine How Service To Others Bring Joy with the Following Bible Verses:
1. Colossians 3:23-24 NIV
[23] Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, [24] since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

2. 1 Peter 4:10 NIV
[10] Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.

3. Reflect on what you have learned and write down an experience where doing good to someone brought joy to the Person and to you.
