Overcoming Fears: Trusting in God's Strength to Conquer Anxiety and Build Faith

I want to bring to your mind that the days are ticking away in the year 2024 and in the next few days we will have just 5 months to go, yet there are still so many things to be done, many dreams have not come to past. Those dreams are yet to come to reality, not because they are no good dreams, but because there are no serious moves towards bringing them to fulfillment. You have not made any advancement towards your goals probably because of fear of the unknown and that is where I am going this morning by saying what you are afraid of.

I want to let you know that you are not the only one in this fear and many are suffering from the same fear like you, the children of Israel were so much afraid too, but little did they know that what they were afraid of, was actually afraid of them. That is not different from your case this morning, you are afraid of sad news, should you make move for that project, you are afraid of failure should you take that step; listen, the children of Israel were afraid of Jericho while Jericho was also afraid of them, unknown to the children of Israel until they met Revelator Rahab.

Josh. 2:10 ‘For we have heard how the LORD dried up the water of the Red Sea for you when you came out of Egypt, and what you did to the two kings of the Amorites who were on the other side of the Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom you utterly destroyed.’ 

I want you to know this morning that the devil you are afraid of, is also afraid of you and all he could do is to keep you in fear that does not exist so that you will not take that progressive step that will let you off his hook. What is that issue that has occupied your heart and is holding you strong like a stronghold, and you know you only need to take a step to get out, but you are afraid of not losing some favour, hence it becomes difficult for you to take that decision. That fear is what the devil is using to hold you down, I have the boldness to tell you today that the devil is also afraid of you because what is about to come to you after that decision is far more than what you are afraid of losing; it will blow the devil away and set you on high.

God wants you to excel, and that step you want to take is to take you into God’s plan for you, but the failure you are afraid of is also afraid of your success, hence fear is the only thing that can hold you down from taking the decision that will give you the testimony of your life. The people you are afraid of, despite the word from the Lord that you should plunder them are also afraid of you; your advancement into the project will reveal to you that what you fear actually fears you. 

If you do not make advancement towards your dream, you will never know that the fear you fear actually fears you; better is the man who falls from a step taken than a man who refused to take a step at all.

Prayer; Father, destroy every form of fear holding me down and grant me the boldness to take every progressive step I need to take, Amen!
